Welcome to Orchy Design, the home of beautiful and unusual dichroic glass jewellery made in Scotland. Each unique piece is lovingly designed and made by hand.   
  
                                                
 
 
My jewellery is inspired by the scenery of the glorious Scottish Highlands, which I am privileged to live amongst. The colours of the sky, forests, lochs and moors change dramatically through the seasons and even daily as the shifting light alters the essence and the mood of this enchanting landscape.  

 

 

I mostly use dichroic glass for my jewellery. This glass both transmits and reflects light, enabling it to give the apperance of changing colours, much like a dragonfly's wings or oil floating on the surface of water. By its nature, each piece is as unique as the glass, which is fired in a kiln, sometimes several times, making it impossible to replicate any given piece.
